About Dr. Yesu
Deborah A. Yesu, Psy.D. is the creator and developer of “Don’t Shake My Snow Globe”. A clinical psychologist who specializes in work with children and families, she has worked in many settings, including inpatient hospitals, residential treatment, and outpatient therapy, as well as colleges and universities. She has provided public speaking on various topics, such as diagnostics, parenting, and behavior management. She currently has a private practice, providing psychological services to all ages.
Dr. Yesu was born in North Carolina, and grew up in Southern Ohio. She received her BA in Psychology in 1989. She then completed her Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) at Nova Southeastern University (1997) in Florida, specializing in the psychology of children and adults with chronic and persistent mental illness. Since then, she has lived in New England, Illinois (Chicago), and Missouri (Springfield). Having lived in such a variety of communities has given Dr. Yesu the unique opportunity to work with a wide range of cultures and people.
In her free time, Dr. Yesu fills her life with family and friends. Her husband of 20 years, and her two teenage children, two cats, and a dog fill her life with love and joy. She plays piano, accompanying singers and choral groups in the community. She also enjoys reading, her Book Club, and having lunch with friends.
